hello mirror, get out of my face.

Here's the thing. I'm for reals this time. I'm on a very determined mission to lose some weight...very determined. Last night was my "last hooray" if you will, and so today begins my journey to lose weight. I got a new camera so I will be posting pictures of my journey. I have more reasons than I can give in one post to do this. I know I've made "health" posts before, but when graduation season came around, there was a lot of celebrating and a lot of eating out..and a lot of not working out due to being too tired day-to-day. This time I'm taking it one day at a time instead of setting a to-do-by date which never has actually worked for me in the past. Since I'm sure you're enthralled by my reasons (I'm so sure you are), let me give you the gist of things:

1. I want to feel just fuggin' good about everything that I have control over (ahem, my weight)
2. My mom always told me not to date a guy who couldn't sweep me off my feet, literally, so here's to making that a little easier. 
3. There's this pair of shorts that I got back in March that I've been able to juuuust squeeze into, given that I hold my breath all day, so I'd like to just slip those babies on like butter...and breath.
4.  When I go to college in August, I want to feel like I'm the best form of myself, so that the only thing I'll need to worry about is grades and parties. ;)
5.  I no longer wish to fear my jeans. (scary sons of bitches)
6. Lastly, I used to be a size 3 my sophomore year of high school, and I did it over one summer (healthfully) so I'd like to blow the dust off my size three jeans and work it.
There you have it, just a few reasons to do something good for myself. This is in fact, the best thing I could do for myself .It's going to be balls at first to get myself weened off of gummy bears and pasta, but what's even more balls is walking around in my own skin and wanting to leap out of it.  Stay tuned for my transformation, it's going down home-skillets.
